I’m from the old school RD site and did my every once in a while check-in and saw that people are on here. So, I logged on to check it out!
Not sure what to write.. as I’m new and not sure the feel of the forums. What is the primary topic? … besides making money! LOL…. Is it Retail? Real Estate? Publishing? Marketing?
I’m a:
Professional Cake Decorator / Bakery Manager – Fun job… but, 55 – 70 hours wasn’t enough for them. Life is TOO SHORT!
Sr. Internet Application Developer (i.e. Computer Programmer) – Higher end web development – databases and business rules ASP-classic (It’s been a while since quitting WB – I loved that job but, no freedom) … I’m a geek… I didn’t like the search on the RD Forum.. so, I imported their entire forum and built my own search! It worked much better! LOL I also ran statistics on it… Phil said I knew more about his database than he did! .. Oh.. that’s how the 300 posts came about.. from “He-Shall-Remain-Nameless†… LOL can you tell I like Harry Potter… geek again!
Real Estate Investor – Getting into the deal is my strength.. partners would do the exit strategy.
Media Development and Production – I produced the “Darci Decorates; How to Cake Decorate†DVD, tv pilot and a product line. This is my focus now. I love getting the emails from people who thank me for the video. I have been meaning to expand the site with a forum and blog. .. but, being a programmer.. it’s tough deciding to trust other programmers! LOL I will be setting aside the time to expand soon.
Good site MJ! I like your story! Good for you! I hope many others follow your suit! Timing is everything and I have been looking to set the time aside to make a blog and then a forum. .. you have inspired me! Thank you!
