I am lazy beyond belief. I wear laced shoes, but I just do them up really well and use them as slip ons, I lie on my side and rotate the screen when using the computer and hardly study, however I use excellent memory retention techniques when I do study to maximise performance. When I found out that when I leave school I would be put into a job working more than 8 hours and 5 days a week, naturally I wanted to seek alternatives. I’ve seen the ads of the best job in the world and all that jazz, none of them seemed to fit my description or lifestyle. Then I realised – why couldn’t I just utilise my laziness? I’ve thought of alternate ways of doing stuff without manual work, why couldn’t I just apply it to a business? I thought about a whole heap of ideas – from websites to iPhone apps to vehicle GPS systems. But I wanted to go make something on the internet, as a ‘slingshot’ to test the waters of marketing and to induce a little bit of ingenuity.
And so I went to the internet to create some wealth. I got onto the right path and made a couple bucks. However, I want something more. I started developing my idea when I saw people selling sub-par Wordpress websites and making a killing. Thinking that I could do that too, I started building packages and started to think what would work, what prices would I charge. I had an epiphany that I had other intensive work at school. There’s no way I could complete my homework and re-create my packages all by myself. I sought help from my mum, a business accountant, and she taught me about outsourcing. I rebuilt my business entirely. I read numerous books, including Mr. MJ’s, and built my knowledge.
I’m now at the starting point – whether this fails or succeeds I don’t really mind. As long as I am learning I am growing. Unfortunately, because I’m so lazy I need people to force me into action, so diary entries will pressure me into action. If anyone could kick my a$$ if I don't post an update it would be appreciated 😀
