Hey Fastlaners. I am a new member from Central TX and this is my first time posting on the forum after lurking around and getting a feel for things. I have never posted on forums before, so this is a step out of my typical comfort zone but this crowd seems to be my kind of people and I want to engage and help in any way possible.
A little about me: I have spent about 12 years in the corporate sales world and currently work for a Fortune Top 5 company. While I have been very fortunate and successful in this world I have never been able to scratch the itch that there is something better out there for my family.
After reading TMF I felt inspired to join the forum and start taking control of our future and designing a lifestyle that we always dream about together. Our goal is to build a business that allows us to work from anywhere while still providing a level of income and lifestyle we enjoy. The biggest goal is to not continue trading my time for money and to stop being away from my family the majority of the time.
We constantly have ideas, but simply never execute on them. This is going to change, starting today. And I have to thank all of you for actively participating and sharing, and especially MJ for writing the book. Y'all are an inspiration and motivation for us to make things happen.
Our goal is to build something that within 12-18 months I can leave the corporate world and focus full time on our Fastlane. Its a lofty goal, and I am sure many people shoot for the same, but I believe in us that we can make this happen.
In the meantime, if anyone needs help or just some perspective, my wife and I have experience in the following areas and are more than willing to help. I am certainly not claiming that I am smart nor an expert, but I do believe the more you give the more you get.

real estate- some residential and multi family rental experience
