Hi, my name is Markus, I'm an 18 year-old entrepreneur from Finland. I have almost finished high-school and plan to work very intensely on my business for a year before I have to go to army for 6-12 months (forced to go by Finnish goverment, sucks but no can do..) In that time my main goal is to establish a stable income so I can move out to my own apartment.
My first entrepreneur endeavor was a tennis racquet stringing business, but 1 year in I realized it didn't really make any sense at all because I was constantly exchanging my time for money. There really was no scaling potential either because the amount of players was fairly small in my area.
Now after reading TMF and bunch of other material I'm moving forward and have decided to start building an e-commerce business. My plan is to first start selling goods in my country (through Finland's eBay, own webstore) and expand from there when I get enough volume. I have found 3 possible niches and thought that it would be wise to test them all and after that figure out what products I should continue to sell based on the results.
I hope I'm not coming across as too naive or anything, I'm not following any 'get rich quick' program but you've gotta start somewhere and e-commerce seems like a good business to start with a low amount of capital.
After about 2 months reading the forum I finally decided to register and I plan to share my journey with you guys as I move forward and hope to exchange ideas and experiences as well.
Work hard,
Markus
