Been lurking for awhile, enjoying the discussions and new ideas being thrown around, it definitely helps to have a braintrust.
Let me talk about myself for a bit, it's what I do best nowadays. :smxF:
Been an IT guy most of my life. Read my first biography, John D Rockefeller which started my lifelong goal of making the most money I could, and then give it away.
Somewhere along the way, Rich Dad Poor Dad came along and totally changed my way of thinking, as most people complain it is not a How To book, it is a change your perspective book.
Somehow, from 2000 to 2004 I had accumulated no real wealth, but I did buy my first house in '03 and got married the same year, we were making it. Sold our little HUD house we bought for 40k for 75k (rehabbed of course) and started construction on a 190k house, big for my wife and I. I had customers, cashflow and a few employees. I had moved to a bigger office and we were landing some bigger accounts and I began to stop minding my own business. Eventually an opportunity came along and I shutdown my company and went to work with one of my customers.
A few power plays and struggles later I became the CIO of a tech company I had a relationship with as IT Director. 4 Days later I was out and on my own again with the worst economy at my back.
People like me are apparently a dime a dozen out there, so I decided to start creating my own cash again, but not through IT, and with a different (fastlane) mindset. I hope I can contribute on here just a tad while I create my own wealth.
