Hi,

I've just finished the book and I have to say I have been blown away by it. I've read quite a few self help books before, but none have been quite as motivating as this one.

A bit about myself : I am a software developer heavily entrenched in the slow lane, but teetering on the brink of the sidewalk. I work for a huge corporate monstrosity and live pay check to pay check with an ever increasing debt balance. I got a family and two kids to support with my measly pay check. God knows why, but I ended up in a part of the country where salaries are low and house prices are high.

After finishing my education I worked in the city of London for a bit where the money was big and the champagne flowed. I quit all that a couple of years later to start a software business. Dreaming of riches and freedom all I got was a big shackle around my neck. I worked solidly for two years of stress and misery before the company blew up with huge debts. It was a terrible time.

Rather than pick myself up and carry on with the new lessons learned, I just gave up, decided I hated money and got a job to pay the rent and buy the beer. Life was pretty good, I earned enough to have a good time. I built up debt, but didn't care.

As time went on however, I picked up a family and a mortgage and kids. Debts increased until I started realising that actually I wasn't doing too well handling my responsibilities. My job started to suck but I am stuck there because I just has to keep on paying the bills, even though my pay check doesn't even cover them sufficiently.

So I have decided to turn things around. Reading around I stumbled across MJs book which has lead me here.
