Hello MJ et al..
I’ve been lurking here since 2011 but I finally decided to introduce myself. I am not yet a Fastlaner but I hope to share my experiences so that people may learn from them. First of all, I want to thank MJ for writing such a special book and not withholding any information in the process. As a person who has purchased business books for the past 20 years, I can say The Millionaire Fastlane is the missing link and only book that outlines how to adopt the appropriate mindset and choose the correct business model to get out of the Slowlane and into the Fastlane. I challenge anyone to provide me another book that can even come close to the truth that this book reveals. I have read it many times over and it has changed my way of doing business.
Here’s my background: Over the past 20 years, I've had a variety of jobs from a civil servant, working docks and inspecting ships to working at an internet startup. I’ve also tried my hand at entrepreneurship. Some of the businesses I’ve had in the past include a night club, a few bars and a security company in addition to exploring a variety of business projects across different industries. My last business was quite profitable and as far as I know, remains successful. It was a B2B services business that grossed nearly a million dollars a year, which I literally built from scratch. Essentially, it was a document preparation business that assisted other businesses in registering with various federal and state government agencies. After three years of business, I was forced out of the business by unscrupulous partners (relatives of mine) who gradually stopped paying me and essentially took all my equity in the business for themselves. There’s a lot more to the story that I’ll fill in another thread. I’m sure if the business had gone in the direction that I had envisioned, it might have had a chance at becoming a fast lane business. Sadly, knowing how my old business parters think and operate, it will never become one.
To make a long story short, I suffered some tragedies in life since leaving the business but I am finally back into the swing of things and taking another shot at the Fastlane. As I stated, I will be starting another thread to share what I have learned in my many failures (and successes) in business.
Question: What would be the appropriate forum to start a thread on my experiences? Apologies in advance. I’m an expert at lurking but an absolute beginner at posting in forums.
Actually, I think I found the appropriate forum. Failure, Mistakes, and Goofs..
Best,
Chaz
