My name is Bill and after working most of my life in the manufacturing industry acting from Project Manager to Production Manager to Operations Manager and everything in between it was a frequent thing to work for long days.
One day after working for 12 hours per shift for the whole month just making sure we met an important six figure money making shipment, the owner of the company came to my office to thank me for meeting the deadline. I will not complain about it, the guy was generous enough to give me a brand new car as bonus.
Nevertheless this acted as a trigger!!
I GOT A NEW CAR; HE GOT A BEACH FRONT PLACE!! And to top it all off, during production run the owner spent two weeks of this time in Vegas and the other two in some paradise beach in Hawaii calling every other day to ask how things where going.
It really hit me: achieving Millions of dollars in profits by ramping up production, cost reduction projects and new product development was well paid. Still the world does not belong to employees.
So despite not being a business entrepreneur mind; the will and determination is high. This is the major reason for being here to learn from entrepreneur oriented people and down to earth success stories
It will be great to learn from everyone here!!
