My name is Brian, and I found this forum a few months ago. I must say that it had opened up my eyes to try and get money to work for me instead of always trying to work for it.
Some things about me:
I'm 21 years old semi-web developer. I currently own a small business, though I kind of feel ashamed of saying that? Working at home many people think I just screw around, but I was able to make a nice profit for my first year. My business is based on web development for Forums (not the software this forum uses though ). I even worked for the company that made the software so I can add doing work for the NHL, NBA, Warner Brother Records, etc. Though, I don't really find it a big deal but it may help my resume. I have held off completing my associates degree as I feel that I don't learn anything and its a waste of my money for now...
My goal though is to hire someone so I can focus more on marketing and management of the company. With a small niche its quite hard to find decent help for cheap...
Anyway, I've always been into finding a way to make money... From making fake scratch off lottery tickets in elementary school ... I would write it in pen, then use crayon over it so then people can scratch the wax away and it would show lol. I would buy bulk candy and sell it on the school bus... I also used to copy DVD's and sell them in school :X. Then I got into eBay and bought electronics in bulk and sold them... Then I went into fixing iphones and selling them... I'm looking for passive income now, and something that will take off.
I'm just worried that not continuing school would be a bad choice, but I'm just going for the flow for now. I feel I am very responsible for my age, as I learned about credit cards being evil and have about a grand left to pay off and never again... I have emergency money in place and accounts with ING to micro manage....
BUT, I still live with my parents... I want to be sure I am financially ready as in lots of saved money before making the move.
