I've been doing ecommerce here in Norway and I came to the realisation that this is kind of a limited market. There are about 5 million people in Norway.
I've decided to go global, because I can. I do dropshipping from china, and before you scoff it off as an ureliable way of business, know that my supplier is very serious and have been a trustworthy partner for more than a year now. The products are of great quality, and worldwide shipping time is less than a week.
Anyway, I'm in a niche market and really have only one serious competitor. They had about $25M in turnover last year, so it's money to be made, and it's a growing market.
My biggest problem is this: I don't really grasp the magnitude of the world market, so I don't feel the motivation I really could. And should. :S
I'll be selling to western countries initially, and a quick calculation shows that I'll go from a market with 5 million people, to a market with over a billion people!!
I've grown up with a poor mentality, I've never known what finacial abundance could be like, and I get that I have a lot of limiting beliefs about how much money it's possible to make.
I know that I should just get on with "building my deck", and I will, but if any of you have any examples of how big the world really is, how much money it's possible to make, I would be very greatful.
