I read most of the book ”Fastlane Millionaire”, and right now, I am one of the “slowlaners”. I work 2 part time jobs, one at a warehouse, the other with Uber.
I like the pay for both jobs, but I have to face the following reality: I can’t do this forever. I have thousands of dollars in debt, part of which is getting ALL FOUR TIRES and alternator replaced for my Toyota, (the constant commute and use for Uber must be killing my car).
This makes me think I need “passive income” and I am curious to see if it is EVEN POSSIBLE for me. From what I saw on the internet, there are only 3 ways to do that:
1. Be a business owner
2. Be an entrepreneur
3. Be an investor
I looked into investing opportunities like peer to peer lending platforms, like Prosper, and it looked like a dead end to me. If the borrower defaults, you’re out of luck, and they won’t EVEN TRY to get your money back.
I though about investing in mortgage notes, since borrowing money is ALWAYS in demand, but I don’t know where to go with that.
Actually, I think my scope is limited, because I don’t have it in me to be a business owner or an entrepreneur. But I do like the thought of putting my money to work for me, so if there is anything else I can invest in, please tell me.
