Hey everyone, my name is Derek and I'm a 19 year old college student and I just read The Millionaire Fastlane over a few snow days this week... I was hooked. One of my friends showed me this book and we agreed on working on a business together. Right now we are currently in the brainstorming process, but we'll figure something out. Luckily he told me about this book when he did or I would have gone with the slowlane path.
Long story short, the idea of a "career" terrifies me. I can't just let myself settle like oh so many others. I can't live like that, and I won't. I always questioned my teachers who talked about all the typical slowlane bullshit. I know it won't be easy, but I WILL be a successful entrepreneur. I know I have a lot to overcome and a lot of people already doubt me. Luckily for me, I love to prove people wrong (for example, I have been teaching myself HTML, CSS, Java, etc.).
