Hello everyone, My name is Alan and I'm from Minnesota. I am 17 years old and currently am a Junior in High School and I recently got a job as a mobile DJ. Before I got my job as a DJ I worked at Dairy Queen for a little over a year, I hated that job and that's kind of when I decided that I am going to want to work for myself rather than someone else for the rest of my life. Although I hated the job, I was one of the best workers there and they REALLY wanted me to stay when I told them I got a new job. Now since I DJ, I mostly only work during the weekends so I want to use the extra time I have to really learn about being an entrepreneur and start making more money.
Most kids around my age, where I live, get shit handed to them. My parents make me pay for my own stuff like clothes, my insurance, phone bill, laptop, and I have to save for a car. So I guess that's what mostly drives me to make money on my own and because I want to buy a lot of cool SHIT! (its pretty easy for me not to spend money though).
Right now I'm really just trying to study successful entrepreneurs, so I can learn from them, and what better place to do that than a forum where I can interact with them? I haven't read the book yet, but I'm going to buy it tonight and start reading it tomorrow.( It's 2 in the morning now, otherwise I would start tonight). Anyways, I'm glad I found this forum and I'm looking forward to being a part of this community!
