Hey people!
So here I am. Jonas, 22, currently living in Lithuania. Those who don't know its in Eastern Europe - little speck of land by the Baltic Sea. Yes, MJ - your book reaches all sorts of continents. I am sure you are already aware of that
In short about current activities - working with 2 startups. General internet company based on content marketing and lead generation and another is manufacturing safety razors. The latter one is in quite an early stage, prototype is still in progress. Expecting to launch them in February. I know it is not fully "fastlaned" business, but I treat it as a learning experience because my official entrepreneurial adventure started just a few months ago on July, when I attended EUXCEL competition. I exclude time in business school as now it seems more of a waste of time and money. Real life is what matters.
Also, I have never worked for someone else and never had a slowlane job. Both of my parents are entrepreneurs to some extent. Father is hand-building wooden houses, but it's not optimized at all. It is more of a job than a business. And mother (teacher) is providing additional lessons for those who need them. Yet, still feels more of a job. Currently I live with her.
Some of you might question: Why have I started thinking about startups and businesses only last July?
Well, for most of my life I had been given everything on a silver platter (because of health problems when I was a kid, docs said its a miracle that this guy lives) and later I'd been just waiting for some miracle, probably graduation of business school. Yes, I did have a level 80 paladin and lots of fancy gadgets to play around. No real purpose of anything and no real challenges or feats. Virtual nonsense and short-term satisfaction. I have been depressed for most of my life, but still manage to appear as a clown among friends.
However, some things changed when I had my entrepreneurship course and met this guy - Juris Ulmanis. He has been a huge inspiration even though the course took just one week. He told all of us to stop jerking around and it kinda hit me. I realized that I am going nowhere. So the week later I found an EUXCEL competition by accident, filled out a form, got accepted and then flew to Athens scrum in July, met some great people there and that is how the startups started.
Haven't been the same guy since, but I still feel like I got ways to go and things to learn. That is why I constantly research and try to learn something new. Razor startup was the reason why I discovered fastlane forum and why I have read the fastlane millionaire. All of you, are a huge inspiration. It doesn't matter if you are in just an early stages of your roadtrip (like me) or already retired. It feels good to be part of such community.
Anyways, that's my story. Wish you all the best and thanks for checking my thread!
