Hi all.
I'm urianasi, 24 years old.
I've been reading this forum for a while, and decided to finally create an account and start sharing my experiences here.
I work as a software developer in a 500 Fortune company. I hate everything about the job: the people I just have to tolerate because they work with me, my salary, the 40 hours I waste every week working for others, etc.
I've been doing this for two years (now in September), and I finally got to a point that I cannot take it anymore. I spent a few months completely depressed, dragging my a$$ to the office and going back home with no expectations whatsoever that this thing was going to change. Of course, I was waiting for a change, no actually acting to change.
I'm an avid reader, so in my depression I read almost 5 books a month. It was the only thing that helped me escape my awful reality.
Then, I found Unscripted , through a recommendation in a blog post...
It changed it all. Or more precisely, the way I saw my reality. It changed my mindset, so everything else, changed.
I am not a victim anymore, I'm a player of the game. I accept the rules, I don't own anything, I'm in my baby steps... but someday, I will remember this moment while living my dream life (hint, not slowlane).
After the book, I devoured more material, started reading posts in the forum, read The Millionaire Fastlane , and saw documentaries that helped me immensely.
I started three businesses in the past before this, all of them failed. I guess that in this year and a half after my last venture, I got lazy and unmotivated by the fact that is damn hard out there.
Not anymore. I already started testing prototypes for two ideas that I had, technology related. I have another one, VR related (I think is THE thing of the future, complete game changer) that I want to structure and test soon. I'm respecting a more structured process to push products to the market, I started learning the most important ability an entrepreneur must have: how to sell.
I'm in constant motion now. I feel so damn alive.
Thanks MJ. And to all of the people here making this place a golden mine.
