I have been lurking around here for a while and feel that I should start posting to share my journey with other members. First off, I have read sir MJ's awesome book way back in 2011 and was really attracted to it. I knew beforehand that there would have to be some other way other than saving until retirement otherwise there would not be any millionaires in their 20s!! Being from an asian country which is Malaysia, most of my family members preach the slowlane method. One of my uncles is rich by being a lawyer and have great network so I admire him but he is working for whole days.
So to share a story, initially I thought that I could make of some money by playing online poker since I was good in it. I got free 2$ credit to play and made up to $30 in one day. It was good for me and I continued to make more money each day but then I became addicted and thats when I lost all the money. I also realised that if youre using poker solely to make money its a shitty idea because finally poker is half luck. You can play multiple tables and also slowly from low money tables but it will takes so much time that its not worth it. You will have to grind slowly and finally when you do have more money the urge to play on bigger tables will be there. Ultimately I have taken poker all away from my life now. When you lose you will want to win back and become addicted its dangerous. I still love poker and would like to go Las Vegas and spend tons of cash there some day but not to make money more of a means to enjoy and have fun.
As of now, I am looking to learn some PPC/CPA. My knowledge in the internet which is the way I want to make my fastlane business, is rather limited so it will be a good way to get my feet wet. Still learning and joined the now free subscription IMGrind. As for now I have to balance my time since I am also a college student so I will post more info when things get rolling. I think being in college is not all that bad because I have learned to be more disciplined and focus better. Great to be here!!
