Hi guys, Devlin here from sunny South Africa. I'm a 27 year old developer (.Net) working for a digital agency.
I have always been working for other people, just following along and I now feel it is time for me to take the plunge and start something of my own.
I have a few things I have been thinking of, I guess I just need validation on them, first one is selling beds. A close friend is a chiropractor who gets beds made and sells them to his clients. We have had some discussions and he is needing help with marketing and helping it grow. So what I'm thinking is I would like to market the beds towards the fitness/bodybuilding community, as we all know how important rest and sleep is and I never really see anything aimed towards them. I would like to set up a site, then push Facebook ads and possibly put ads on fitness/bodybuilding sites and magazines.
Secondly, a somewhat gamified charity site, where a user pledges an amount and has to get friends and family signed up and make pledges themselves in order for his to get donated, and so forth. They would then earn points for their referrals and their donations which could result in prizes. Hopefully this would make it spread a bit online?
Maybe a bit of a reach here, could possibly exist too. But an app similar to myfitnesspal, but it will also organise the recipes and all the ingredients needed according to your budget to fit your dietary needs, as it is a pain adding every meal into the app, having it all there and just specifying if you ate it will be perfect.
I have a few others, but will just list these for now, hopefully you guys would have some input or guidance? Hoping to learn a lot from you guys
