Hello everyone.
I'm really grateful that there is a forum like this and that I get to be here.
My reason for joining today is to connect with a community of people who are dedicated to creating their own life. To people who want a life of freedom, growth, wealth and happiness.
I'm also here to help you in any way I can. The way I figure it, the more I help, the more I get involved with successful people like yourselves... The more chance I have to pick up a couple nuggets of wisdom along the way!
My Story:
I'm 27 years old, married... No kids, no mortgage. No car payments. But I do have $40,000 of debt on my credit card that leaches away a part of my soul every month...
I came from an upper-middle class family, that turned low-middle class after my dad’s company almost went bankrupt. I wish I could say that taught me the importance of building financial assets, saving a year of accessible emergency cash and having multiple streams of income.
But really what it did was bring a lot of anger into my life. My parents almost got divorced, they lost their house and we were forced to bounce around from rental place to rental place every year or two... My 10 year old brain chunked everything that happened into the equation: Money = Bad
So I guess it’s no surprise I spent most of my teenage years playing video games, drinking, doing other drugs…. Anything to escape the painful situation at home.
I was 24 when I realized I had an empty existence filled with people who had no goals.
As if on cue I met a shining ray of light (aka my wife) who stepped into my life and helped me cure myself of the junkie-like mentality of drinking.
This is also when I started listening to the occasional Tony Robbins tapes. That was kinda the start of me “waking up”.
Looking back… I can't even remember a lot of what I did during those years... A lot of it is a haze.. And looking back now I feel like I was asleep. Like I was a zombie just going through the routine of life..
Now I’m awake and kicking myself for wasting 10 years of my time.
Anyways...
I still had a lot of garbage in my head and a lot of bad attitudes towards life and money.
Then one day Tai Lopez’s ad popped up on my youtube. You probably know the ad I’m talking about..
The moment that Tai turns the camera from his Lambo to his bookshelf… I had an epiphany.
I realized why I was broke. Why I was struggling and why other people had so much more.
I realized wealthy people knew something I didn’t know. I realized abundance was something you can create with the right skills and the right attitude.
So I became hungry for knowledge like a starving dog. I started upgrading my skills. Changing my mentality, rooting out limiting beliefs. Listening to mentors. I’ve bought into programs (some good, some useless).... And in the last year and a half I’ve read about 100 books. One of which was The Millionaire Fast Lane.
And thats where I'm at now. Working the bare minimum at a job to pay bills, and working hard every other moment to be a producer and build a business fast lane style!
Speaking of.. I gotta get back to it. Writing this post took a lot longer than I expected lol.
