Hi guys. I was hesitant to join at first but I figured I'd take a shot.
I read TMF earlier this year. It hit me at the core and I realised that I needed to make a change.
A brief background.
Already got the worthless degree (I went to BUSINESS school - yikes! Not the same as actually knowing business - realised too late that they only teach you how to be a good corporate cog) and have minimal work experience. Unemployed living with the folks (even a job here won't pay for moving out). Live in Australia and am feeling like postgrad school. But am worried because of the time and debt - not to mention no guarantee of a job afterwards.
Was very hesitant to do business because of my personal psychology.
My whole life I've been quite risk-averse and I couldn't picture going into business or self-employment. Unlike other people, I knew that entrepreneurship takes a lot out of you and is not for everyone - I suffered from wantrepreneur syndrome for a decade or so however, even after reading the book. Just thinking about going into business has me ramming into a 'wall' - kinda like other people who have a fear of spiders or the like. You don't erase a lifetime of psychological barriers in an instant.
But regardless, I know that if I am ever to break free and give myself and my family a proper life I need to explode income by providing value to the marketplace.
So that's why I joined. I know I can never succeed by being the person I am now. I'm in for one hell of a ride!
My first question.
As I read in a blog post (http://xsplat.wordpress.com/2013/12...-to-buy-a-ticket-in-the-entrepreneur-lottery/) the whole point of being an entrepreneur is to HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SELL.
Are there any of you who live in Victoria, Australia? It'd be much easier to find a like-minded person to discuss this. I don't care how old you are - I need to get in touch with somebody who hasn't given up on their dreams. Everyone I know has settled in one way or another.
If so, shoot me an email (kenpromc@zoho.com). Would love to talk.
Or even if you're not from Australia, you can say hi!
