Judgment.
This is one of the most powerful limiting belief that I have ever confronted. It's power is overarching and most of the times not self-evident. This belief creeps in and makes assumptions for you. Like a halfback that didn't hear the play call.
...and its costing you a tremendous amount of money, time, and relationships.
I haven't conquered Judgment. It's too big and tries it's best to creep back in your life. But I have done a good job at recognizing and minimizing it.
I want to help you see it and minimize it to.
Judgment (in this context) is basically making decisions (in your mind) for others.
Example - I cooked lasagna for you tonight. I think you would want it so here it is.
...but wait, did you ever ask if I even liked lasagna? Did I say I wanted or needed lasagna? Were you attempting to hit the holy grail by plucking something out of the sky and saying "Trust me, this is what you want!"
You just judged what someone wanted and went forth.
This is how easy Judgment creeps in your life. You never even saw it. But you did it. You created that unbelievable awesome product or service but never asked if anyone actually wanted it.
What are some tell-tales that you might be Judging things? If you find yourself over-explaining why your product is perfect to someone (that really doesn't seam interested) you might be judging. If your "hot" products are flops, you might be judging also.
So how do you start limiting Judgment?
Start by looking at your market, friend, etc. Talk to them. Ask what they want or need. Now deliver that product in your special way. Judgment aside. It doesn't matter what "you" want, its what your customer wants. It doesn't matter if you don't like gossip magazines and you find them repulsive....they are wanted by others. Stop judging their wants, its holding you back.
I will keep sharing my thoughts on Judgment in this thread. I put a lot of time in studying this. It's paying off big time for me. I want it pay off for you to!
