For the last year I have been working full time on a business out of my parents house. The business has been doing ok, but nothing to write home about.

The beginning of this year I started looking for a full time job in a bigger city. I am from a small town in Texas, and will be moving to Dallas at the beginning of March.

I think that this move will be a game changer when it comes to my Fastlane journey. Although I will be on my own and responsible for my living situation and making ends meet, I think that this opportunity is just what I needed to delve deeper into my work and find solutions to problems that I am not exposed to in my smaller town.

Do any of you have any advice for people who are young in their career and moving to a new city. How can I make sure that I stay focused on the path and don't give into easy distractions?

Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you.

What I do to stay focused is to create a routine. Because of having had full time jobs in the past, and having 2 cats, I got used to waking up early (mostly to feed the cats), but now I stay up to work on my goals because it just 'feels right' because of the routine that's been engraved into me through full time jobs.

When I was working on my goals while still having been employed full time, I would reserve an hour a day in the evening to work towards my goals. I wouldn't always meet that quota, but it was on my mind every day.
