Hey everyone,
I’ve been working as a salesperson for a multinational fertilizer company for the past two years. The technical training on plant nutrition is solid, but when it comes to actual sales training… well, let’s just say it’s pretty much useless (or non-existent).
I’m selling a high-quality product in the mid-to-high price range, but I often see competitors—who have technically inferior products—winning in the market. And it’s not always just a matter of them having lower prices; a big part of it seems to be that they simply have better salespeople. That’s why I want to seriously improve my sales skills.
I’ve read most of the "must-read" sales books, but when I try to apply their advice in real-world situations, I feel like something is missing. So my questions are:
What are the best resources (books, courses, videos, etc.) that actually make a difference in improving sales skills?
Are there any specific sales courses or training programs that you’d personally recommend as truly valuable?
Besides books and courses, are there any other activities, practices, techniques, or tools that have helped you become a better salesperson?
