How to ask an expert for an interview?

Hey fellow fastlaners;
I was wondering how exactly do you go about asking an industry 'expert' or 'guru' for an interview? Do you just come out with it and say "Hi I want to interview you for a product I am creating, what this means to you is that you get free exposure" or is there a different approach you would take?I
I am compling my list and I want to be prepared as to how I ask them for the interview, but I guess I also need to have my questions prepared. I have tried doing a google search about asking good interview questions but it mostly turns up with job interview questions etc. Is there a Google search term you recommend so I can find the resources?
