I've got a subscription / saas style business (actually it's a physical dvd rental service) - Mailbox Movies
I'm trying a new offer with a price point is around $20 - $30, with an option to recur @ 10/mo (which is where most my very small customer base is currently paying). I've tried some paid ads which haven't worked that well (high CAC, unsure of LTV since it's still pretty early).
How are people generally keeping their acquisition costs down for low ticket consumer items? What _should_ I target in terms of top of funnel costs? And what channels are open to me?
I'm guessing that my primary source of acquisition should be social media marketing, content marketing or SEO?
Paid seems too expensive...
Does 1% or 0.5% conversion rate seem right for this type of business? That's what I've come across on the web.
