Thanks a lot for all the great insights to my initial post.

Long story short, the niche ended up choosing me. I talked to an entrepreneur who had an in-field sales team and needed help with supervising the meetings his salespeople were conducting. Even though I had a remote sales team, I realized that I had countless problems myself caused by not supervising them well enough.

With all the improvements in GPT, I think most of the supervision can be automated, and I'm super excited to build my idea.

Before building it, I want to validate it by talking to some business owners and sales managers. I also want to apply to Y Combinator, and doing this research will improve my chances of getting accepted.

I tried reaching out to my network but didn't have any success. Even from the guy I'm helping with this, I’m still waiting for a sales meeting recording.

I just started a LinkedIn DM automation to reach out to sales managers, but in the past, I didn’t see great results with DM campaigns. I was wondering if there are things that I can do to improve my outreach methods.

What are the best trainings, books, or courses on cold outreach? How can I improve my reply rate and book calls?

Do you have any other advice on validating ideas?

First of all, thanks a lot for taking the time to read my post and write a reply.

Based on the tone in your question, I suppose I'm doing something wrong.
The general advice in the startup videos is to first validate your idea, and don't build anything until you talk to enough people and make sure you build something people want.
