Successful venture capitalists have a saying, "fail fast." They understand that 9 out of 10 businesses fail. They also understand that 1 out of 10 that actually succeeds will make them rich. So the adage "fail fast" means get through the failures as quick as possible so you have time for more success.

You are like Babe Ruth and Michal Jordan (both DaVinci Types) so get used to it. Taking more wild swings allows you to make more home runs. Taking more shots helps you make more baskets. Risking more failures is what gives you the opportunity to have more success.

I'm ready to start a business to learn how to run a company and to learn business systems. We repeatedly hear we must be passionate about a business in order for it to succeed. What about these yucky businesses, how can anybody in the world be passionate about these and still succeed? Surely they are money motivated, but can one be solely passionate about making money?

Trash/recycling services, mortician/funeral services, septic service, taxidermist, janitorial services, chimney cleaning, mining.

I want to open a foreclosure cleanout service as my first business. I can't say I'm honestly passionate about it, but the opportunity to make money is there. I think a foreclosure cleanout business is a less desirable business like the ones above but the money is good.

Would you recommend opening a business to gain experience even though you aren't truly passionate about it? "I want to get through the failures as quick as possible so have time for more success."
