Hello Everyone,
I recently introduced myself on the forum. I'm really new here, but feel like I will really enjoy my future here.
Anyway I had an idea which I hoped to bring to you all in hopes of some answers and insight and I apologize if this idea is stupid. Don't be afraid to be blunt or harsh, as long as it's constructive I'm open to listen.
I will present the idea to you more as a hypothetical as I think it would be more clear and helpful that way. I'm going to try to be as comprehensive as possible, but feel free to ask any questions if you have them.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
1. I have a product, let's call it Vegelife or GreenAlive (just off the top of my head not written in stone)
2. I would like to sell that product
3. I feel at least to begin with selling via infomercial is a really good option
The product is a solution (of the liquid variety) made of all natural ingredients.
What does this product or what is its function?
The main selling point is this: You take the solution (Vegelife or GreenAlive) and pour it into a bowl/tub/container/whatever with cold water. Then you submerge your few days old and browning greens could be herbs such as mint/thyme or celery/spinach/lettuce those sorts of things. After being submerged for a designated amount of time you take them out and you you give them a quick rinse. You now have crisp green vegetables! Ready to eat! Saving you trash, keeping you green (money wise and energy wise), keeping you healthy, saving you trips to the grocery store.
Maybe add-in a few free sprayer bottles to use to cleaning and killing weeds as a thrown in extra benefit.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I feel like this is a decent idea and seems relatively simple and appeals to a lot of people.
I feel like not only would doing an infomercial for it be a good way of getting it out there, but it's the type of product almost designed for the way infomercials usually are done. Seeing pictures of gross browning before next to plump green juicy after.
I have done some research and there is not really any product like this out there. I've done research and know why this product would work. Cold water facilitates cell turnover and browning produce is mostly just dehydration. Some of the other natural ingredients help increase this process.
I have made variations and found that is really does do this. Most people don't know that just putting old produce in water helps alone, but adding in some of the natural ingredients I've researched help even more. So I feel a concentrated solution would be of interest to many people.
I'm sure this would most likely be aimed at Women,Stay at home Moms, people who like to cook a lot at home. Still really anyone who buys produce.
Once again selling points:
All-Natural
Green
Saves money and time
Relatively Simple
Fixes a need/problem
As far as I can see anyway.
How did I come up with this?
I worked at a grocery store in high-school. I sometimes worked in the produce section where if certain produce was looking bad you would just soak them in water and that would make a huge difference. yet I know most people don't know this and end up throwing tons and tons of produce away. And produce can be expensive so your just throwing money away.
Reason I'm writing this to you all on this forum is this.
1. What do you think overall?
2. How do you do an infomercial and specifically for something like this?
3. Can I pay for someone to make an infomercial?
4. If I hypothetically make this product and make an infomercial and say 10,000 people call in for say one container each, how is manufacturing and distribution going to work?
I was always curious about those things anyway regardless of this specific idea.
Thank you everyone, I know sometimes when people want help on an idea they are already vague about it and even more ambiguous and stringent in how they describe it, I guess some are afraid of people stealing the idea. I don't know.
I hope this was all ok
Lastly,
Thank you for taking your time and reading this.
