Hey everyone!
So I've built up a following and community on Instagram for women who lift and are breaking barriers in sports and male dominant industries. I grew up loving football, lifting, working with athletes, etc. and have always been frowned upon by family and even my significant other at the time. I can't tell you how many times I have been told to be more feminine, that women don't lift or belong in football, and so on. With that being said I have a very catchy name for my page, own the domain, and have all the social media handles. Now that it's grown significantly I want to start selling merchandise and go the branding route. I am a perfectionist and that definitely slows me down. I feel like everything needs to be perfect before I start selling any type of product. I want the custom labels on the back inside of the shirt instead of the company's logo that makes the shirts. I tell myself I need this and that before I sell anything but then I see big companies selling out like crazy and they don't bother with the tags or inside labels, and spending the extra money to customize those. That was just one example and I have so many of those types of issues. Do I start with what I have and grow and improve from that or do I want to give my customers the best product from the start? This is something I constantly struggle with and it stops me from building something great and moving forward with my ideas because it's not the right time, I don't have everything I need yet, I don't have enough money to make it the way I want to be, etc. I would love to hear some advice and suggestions.
