Okay, First off I just stumbled across the forum a couple days ago so please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section.
First some background on my Fastlane plan. I am currently in the process of developing a business that facilitates a relationship between two groups. The groups dislike dealing with each other, but they need each other for existence so I feel as though there is great oppotunity within this area. To my knowledge, and research, no one is doing what I plan on doing.
The issue is that for my business to succeed it must start out in an area and then expand rapidly because the more area I cover the stronger my product becomes in regards to the people that need it and will want it. If I don't expand then my business loses traction and will essentially fizzle out. How do you prepare for this as a business owner / entrereneur? I am starting with limited capital so therefore brining in someone with growth expertise is probably out of the queston, but I don't know if I myself can smoothly facilitate the transition into a multi city / multi state company since this is my first shot at running a business and I feel that the learning curve may be a bit steep and in turn be detramentle to the business.
With that being said I know that growth is a wonderful problem to have, I just want to cover all my bases before I hit the ground. My business will probably make some very wealthy and powerful coorportations uncomfortable due to the fact that it is going to cost them quite a large sum of money to maintain their current way of doing things, so therefore it worries me that if I take to much time to grow there will be more road blocks to deal with.
