Now that I have your attention... I want to direct it to a prevalent problem in the world.
Homelessness.
I was going into a store today when a young-girl, not more than 16 years old, asked me to help. I quickly read her sign. She was hungry. Unfortunately I didn't have any cash on me at the time. I had left my wallet in my car. I only take my debit card in with me.
One thing that struck me, now that I've been doing the Gary Halbert Challenge, was her "sales copy"
It only had some "facts" jotted down in bullet point fashion.
The thing is, I actually felt bad for her. However, knowing society... She didn't really have a chance to get anything, although she may have got a couple dollars out of the "kindness" of somebody's heart.
If her sign focused on the person reading the sign she may have been a bit more successful in procuring a lot more than just food for herself.
They probably would of paid for a hotel room for her, look for her parents, etc... Anything to help her.
I am personally not an expert at copy writing but in this situation I'd find a big piece of white cardboard and write "BE SOMEONE'S GUARDIAN ANGEL TODAY: A SMALL DONATION GOES A LONG WAY" and sales talk them into why they should help if they ask.
A lot of people would just give money, no questions. They have the opportunity to be a Guardian Angel to someone.
There are two morals to the story here.
How could you of improved a typical homeless person's sign? One that looks like:
P.S. I would of helped that girl. I could of went to the bank and came back in a few short minutes. By the time I came back out ... She was gone. To who knows where. Hopefully she is safe this evening. This area is notorious for vicious crimes at night.

- Recognizing people for their actions is important. They want to feel good about what they are doing.
- Copy-Writing is a fundamental skill, master it and your opportunities are endless even if you become homeless. Though you shouldn't become homeless, you know how to write sales ads, sell shit.
