I've been lurking for a while and I'm very impressed with this forum. Its good to see so many people trying to help others escape the rat race.
A little about me: I'm 27, married w/ a 4yo son. I live in UT where I have a safe secure slowlane job with great benifits and I absolutely hate it. I can "retire" in 16 more years, but that may as well be an eternity doing what I do.:smx4: I decided recently that I wanted more for my son, and I want my time back. I can see how much I work, sleep, and fulfill other obligations, and how little free time I actually have. It makes me a little sick.
I have a plan though. Ive taken 3k from my 401k. I have registered a business with the state that i can run very part time and it will be a very passive income. Hopefully this can be the spark that starts a spectral fire. It will be my capital raising biz, and hopefully I can sell it for a nice starter egg in a year or two. If not I'll try something else. I am excited though. I have identified a need that has been fulfilled in other states, but not yet here in UT. It is somewhat unique, but I can not believe it hasn't been done yet. :blah2: This is getting wordy, but I'll just leave with setting a goal that you can all watch me become a millionaire in the next five years. Wish a stranger some luck. :fastlane:
