I am a professional marketeer having worked with Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, and Nokia amongst other firms in India.
Apart from the heat, dust and poverty stereotyped images of rural India (much of which is true though); urban India is booming economically with GDP growth rates in excess of 7-8 % year on year. And 40% of the 1 billion plus population is below the ages of 25! Apart from a mature corporate sector, this boom has led to a mushrooming of entrepreneurs in all fields - some Fastlane, and many still Slowlane
.
Trawling through the Forum, I am so pleased and excited to see some like minded individuals searching for their exit to the Fastlane. As the new kid on the block, I aim to keep quite for a while and soak in the hum of conversations on the Forum, and learn from those amongst us who have traveled the road less taken.
