Hey Carrie. Is there anyone she can stay with or Shelter she can go to for the night. They have set up shelters everywhere. At least she can stay warm at night time. That's a pretty far ride for me and I'm on a 1/4 tank of Gas. I'm hoping I can fill up some time this weekend, but things are extremely crazy out here right now.
The Guys who worked Monday night are the real hero's. I worked Sunday night Monday day, thinking that the storm would hit Late Sunday Night, but it was that bad until the Surge at around 8pm Monday night. I went to a bunch of trees and wires down throughout the day Monday. Only thing we were really able to do was put caution tape up everywhere. The guys who worked in the middle of the storm had it REAL rough. They were doing water rescues all night. I wish I could have been there to help them out.
I'm going to try to set up a donation link on my website and ask forum members to donate anything they can afford. It's really sad seeing all the destruction. People are outside cooking with fires on the streets. There's debris everywhere and half of the island is still without power or gas.
