Hello Fastlaners,
I could use some life advice and greatly appreciate anyone willing to help out.
I will try my best to keep this short. I am 21 years old, I recently left my job as a Manager for Guitar Center's call center located in Utah. (dead end 40+hrs a wk) I made salary around 28k a year. I spent all of my time practicing guitar and buying gear thinking the old "Do what you love will eventually get me by."
I was able to move back in with mom and step dad to live rent free (for now). So I only have my car loan and insurance to pay each month which is $435. (I owe 14k for a 2012 re-branded Mazda3) I recently got a job as a server at a nearby Oliver Garden to pay this.
I currently have $1,500 in savings, I'm ready to start my own business and want to create my own website.
Where do I begin? I've been reading as much as I can and could use some recommendations on books to brush up on financial literacy geared towards stocks (not necessarily budgeting). My goal is get my car paid off ASAP and begin generating some monthly passive income.
Whats the best use of my savings? Should I invest in any stocks etc? Do you recommend learning html/javascript or should I start with wordpress?
