Growing up, I always dreamed of owning and driving fast cars. My dad owned a car garage for 15 years and worked as a mechanic his entire life so this of course reinforced that dream even more with his passion for cars fueling mine.
Ever since completing the Science of Wellbeing, a free, Yale university course on the science of what actually makes us happy and reading the millionaire fastlane , I've stopped caring about the money and materialism. Yes fast cars are cool! You know what else they are for young guys like me? Dangerous as F*ck! A week ago I went for a drive in a BMW 330e and I could have easily gotten myself killed. Lesson learned? Keep racing for the track.
People are ignorant. There are peer-reviewed studies showing that our happiness is based on: gratitude, time affluence, family&friends and health. Yet people insist on working jobs that take away from these things. Even if I could get a job with my current Business Administration course and it paid 20k a month I wouldn't give two shits. It's not about the money.
There are three things that I'm excited about since starting my entrepreneurial journey. 1: Achieving my goal of freedom. 2: The satisfaction of the process of getting there. Now for the most important one! 3: Offering actual value to the world instead of working a mind-deadening job that only satifies the company bosses.
