First a little background info on my current situation and how my time is allocated.
About two months ago I quit my job.. Again. But this time is a little different. Since then I've been doing photography full time. Some freelance and some with a local wedding company. This is to provide sustainable income doing something I enjoy doing, working for myself, as well as being able to essentially be paid to network and get to know the market to advance my own photography business. My main work is only Friday or Saturday. Some weekends both days, some weekends only one day. That leaves Monday - Thursday plus Sunday completely open. All day.. And it's BORING.
Currently I'm in a spot where, as you can see, I have ALL the free time anyone could ever need to start their own business. I have enough saved to live two months off of, and I also have enough disposable money to get a custom domain, hosting, web design, and possibly web development or buying product. I have everything necessary right now and am in an ideal situation.
Except my problem lies with one important missing detail..
The one everyone pays least attention to because it isn't that important.
They're a dime a dozen.
Something of so little value because they are so common.
An idea.
Everyone always says how the idea is a dime a dozen, the execution is where the game changer lies. I cannot express how eager I am to jump in and get started with my own online business. (Of course, however I'm not limiting to online. I will just be moving within a year so would like to be able to move without it affecting my business.)
The last year I've spent so much of my time learning as much as I can. I spend hours lurking this forum, other forums and message boards, watching videos pertaining to business, listening to podcasts and interviews every time I'm in my car or working out.
I feel like I'm chasing something that isn't out there, and I'm sure others will agree.
I'm not asking for an idea, however I would appreciate other people to share ideas they've had because I can't see how ideas are actually a dime a dozen. I think a different perspective on how others view the world as opportunity would do me well, but regardless that's not what I'm asking for. Not everyone's problem is execution. I propose my biggest fault is the ability to come up with ideas, while others swear by writing down 5 ideas a day.
I'm asking for suggestions on how I can spend all this free time wisely. With all of this free time and ability to start something at the instant of hope, how can I utilize all of my resources efficiently?
