I started a video production business

I started a video production business today. I got the legalities done, and I'm allowed to accept and bill customers.
I got my website up and running (www.majdal.co) and created a short video introducing myself. Now I will start with cold outreach and offer local business owners my services.
Starting out, I think that I'll offer to work for free so I can expand my portfolio and increase my skill.

Any feedback, whether how to improve my copy / website or ideas for customer acquisition is appreciated.

I'll document my journey here for future generations.

What about doing the work for free and without their knowledge, passing it to them, and getting a testimonial? Would that get you started quicker than trying to find someone who'll agree to give you the work, even for free?

Also (and I don't if it's still flavour of the month) but people were providing a service whereby they chopped up long form content into short form content. Something to consider.

I think this is a great idea. A lot of business owners value proactivity, and if you just email them showing them an edit you made of some of their content, or some shorts you edited, or an intro in a better style etc. then if they see the value, they'll definitely get back to you for more.
