Most people always talk about creating internet businesses as their fastlane plan... the problem is, I've been becoming increasingly depressed trying to come up with an idea for months.. any idea at all, related to that. And then when I start expanding on an idea, the logistics of it become somewhat overwhelming.
The problem (one of many) is that I don't know/recognize what people or companies need. My brain simply doesn't work that way. (Everyone says 'find a need, and fill it'). Even what some people view as 'obvious' business ideas, I know that I would have never thought of them.
But then I look towards investing (paper assets, real estate), and I stop being depressed. Why? Because almost every conceivable blueprint has already been laid out! You simply have to tweak the plans from people that came before you, in order to satisfy the needs of your investors (who placed funds under your management)
... I even get excited about potentially investing in startups in the future... but not in creating the startup.
What I'm saying is, I don't want to invent the wheel... I just want to create a more efficient and profitable one.
The issue of control comes into play, but I think I'm okay with relinquishing some control in order to already have the blueprints (or as close to them as possible) that I already need to succeed.
Does any of this make any sense to anyone?
I know becoming a fund manager and the like can also be very fastlane.. however seeing as the vast majority of the people here are entrepreneurs, I think I've been trying to 'follow the pack' so to speak.
Don't get me wrong, the idea of being an entrepreneur is exciting... but the execution of that vision is pretty much non existent to me. (try as I may)
