Yes, they engage in predatory pricing to destroy competitors.
Yes, they treat everyone like crap, employees and suppliers alike.
Yes, on the surface, they suck.
But after having read Fastlane, now I see it all differently.
Their competitors whine about Walmart's prices but they close at 6 on Saturday and here it is 2011 and tons of them still don't even have websites. Many of them could be selling 24/7 but they choose not to. You can't compete if you aren't even open.
Nobody forces anyone to work at Walmart for crappy wages. Okay, sure, you need to put food on the table but how about growing up and moving on? If you want something better, how about doing what is described in Fastlane and go to the library and learn a skill or find a need to fill or something??? Don't they get tired of being poor?
And if you are a supplier getting screwed by Walmart, hey, you knew they were dickheads going into it but your greed caused you to make a dumb decision. Too bad for you.
Anyway, had to rant, I don't feel guilty about going there anymore.
