Alcohol-related crashes in the United States cost the public an estimated $114.3 billion in 2000, including $51.1 billion in monetary costs and an estimated $63.2 billion in quality of life losses. Alcohol-related crashes are deadlier and more serious than other crashes. People other than the drinking driver paid $71.6 billion of the alcohol-related crash bill.
Everyone 31 minutes someone dies from a DUI related accident. In 2005 16,885 fatalities in alcohol-related crashes represent an average
of one alcohol-related fatality every 31 minutes.
I have already started to put together peaces of a company that I want to help save lives with many parts of it from legal help to transportation for people who have been drinking and don't want to get behind the wheel.
