Hey all,
So I am about a month into this project that I see as a problem in the market.
I have had some success in terms of testing the target niche if they would be interested in this idea. (See below)
It is not the largest, but it gives me an idea of what a tiny part of the market thinks.
What this idea is:
This is basically an "employment" service, so a website, but it is specifically to help new and current real estate agents to find a brokerage firm to work for. This is needed because it appears that everyone is becoming a realtor these days and they just go with whatever firm they find first or will take them. They don't understand the different commission split models, they don't understand EXACTLY what the firm offers in terms of technology, marketing, administrative help (listings, documents, etc.) and they don't know if the firm (mainly boutiques) will have a mentorship or training program to help them get off their feet, as well as leads too.
Then the agents need to spend 2 weeks MINIMUM interviewing firms, and this takes a while because of having to set it up, and follow-up. Most boutique firms require 2 interviews. So, there is a lot of time being wasted
My issue:
The main revenue for this idea is the brokerage firms and even teams (there are many KW, EXP, Shorewest firms, but which is best suited for these agents?). They pay to have themselves listed on the website and fill in all the information that is viable. Commission split model, type of real estate they specify in (luxury residential, lakefront properties, little shitboxes, etc.), and more.
Then the agents would be able to search and filter for these firms, simply clicking a button to set an appointment for an interview without having to go through 5-10 brokerages with the same pitch in order
It makes sense to me because let's say I find the firm 1 new high-quality agent a year, which can make the firm $20,000 plus. (This number is based loosely on the KW yearly agent fee).
I would love any questions or insights into this idea.
Thank you,
Wyatt
