I calculated my dad has spent $18K in 30 years with his trusty $12 per week he spends on lotto tix. hes broke and at 80 has to work at Sams Club. He still spends that $12 per week. Adjust for inflation and compound interest he probably could have not had to bust his a$$ at Sams Club in his old age after working 70+ years.
