The attached photos are from a now defunct, formerly high flying company. They had awesome offices, which included several custom installed miniature golf holes (see photos). Did they spend investor money on that?
Word to the wise... don't get ahead of yourself. Keep your expenses as LOW as possible. I built an office once complete with show room fixtures, lighting, and a reception area. I loaded it with a conference table with seating for 8 in nice leather chairs. I didn't need ANY of it --- literally, nobody ever came to see me at the office --- and when I closed that office I fueled someone else's office furniture liquidation business.
I want the smallest expenses possible. When I travel, I want the cheapest rental car I can get, and a reasonably cheap hotel (as long as my wife is not with me :smug2
. I now want the most frugal, functional office I can get. The guys with the custom golf holes are gone. I am still here. I used to want to build an empire. I no longer want an empire, don't aspire for the corner office, and don't want a building with my name on it. I want passive cash flow so much so that I can disappear from the day to day, with the cash still rolling in, and not worry about the nut I have to cover for the monthly vanity expenses of the deluxe (temporary) office shrine. Let the slow laners have the corner office. You take the cash.
