Hi, everyone!
Just wanted to introduce myself here, start some networking and get a little feedback.
Some background first, I'm a UIC grad with an Architecture degree. I currently have a J.O.B. that I have to say I like a lot for many reasons most important one being that I have to push myself everyday in order to stay on top. However, I am still working for someone else. I work directly for the owner and I'm pretty much his right hand Queen Bee, but still it's his business that I'm working hard to support. And while I enjoy my job and I believe that I am getting very valuable experience, knowledge and skills from it every day, I would ultimately like to have my own business...my own invention, my own organization, my goals and achievements to work for me!
This New Year instead of setting those same Resolutions like any other that don't last, my fiance and I took writing our own Constitution very seriously and decided to put a clear cut plan into action and make sure we stick to it. I am an individual of my word and I do whatever it takes to make sure what I say happens - no empty promises. To this effect, my greatest fears are on a list to be faced and dealt with along the way and not letting them be roadblocks on our road to success. One of my greatest fears is of drowning (due to a traumatic experience in the Wisconsin River of all places), and while that may not seem to have any effect on the rest of my everyday life decicions, until I face that and feel the freedom that comes with overcoming myself it is indeed an obstacle in my character. So I have a plan to deal with it! I'll keep you posted on that

Meanwhile, I'm here because I enjoy learning many valuable life lessons and reading all your life and success stories which inspire to make things happen for ourselves. I envision our future (soon-to-be-present) success as having our business/organization/whatever makes us feel fullfulled, being independent in every way possible, having time to travel and do all the things we wish we could while sitting at our dayjobs now, and most of all my biggest goal is to be able to help others (something I try to do in whatever little ways I can now but would like to be able to help a lot more people in many more ways).
Life's a journey, not a destination and I am hoping to share some thoughts, experiences, and advice along the way!
