Ok. So i read TMF and came to conclusion that my current consulting business is trading my time for money.
For the past months I was looking for more fastlane opportunities to jump into. I did some research in different niches looking for pain to adress but found nothing that inspired me to purse any of them.
Then one day i found this overseas company that sells a unique product to a big market. I loved the idea because it adressed my pain i didn't even know i had. They are on the market for two years and growing steadily and fast.
The product they sell is nothing really new. It's a "bundle" of existing products put in a unique way with some design.
Since they don't ship overseas and I belive there is a big need for this product in my country i did some work and came up with a prototype. It works great.
Now, using lean startup method, i wanted to test the idea and see if people are willing to pay me money for it.
I quickly put together a website (shop) with photos of my prototype, some copy and "buy it now" button. I now want to buy some traffic and see what happens.
And now, just before launch I'm having some doubts about whether it's ethical to do this.
I belive that the idea is great and the product will by a big hit in my country. But i somehow feel like a copycat because my product is very similar to the one sold by other company?
What would you do in my situation? Go all in or look for different opportunity?
