Impact of Disabling YouTube ads

Has anyone tried adding videos with and without the ads and saw a decrease of views for videos where ads have been disabled?

I am trying to find whether there is a correlation. For example, it makes sense that youtube has less of an incentive to feature/showcase videos where ads have been disabled.

One of my clients had a youtube video created by someone who gets over a million views on each of his videos but when my client had his video launched (without ads), the views were much lower.

I can't seem to find anything online so was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this
