Hello fastlaners,

My every business idea is related to having a website for it. The thing is that I don't know if I should learn how to build my own website and basics of web development. For instance, Russell Brunson (the author of "Dotcom Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Growing Your Company Online with Sales Funnels") made a statement that it is very beneficial to learn web development for start-ups and entrepreneurship in general. I see web development in WordPress as an valuable skill. Moreover, I've been learning it since yesterday by making my personal website on hostinger and I can easily find some clients (I asked some of people I know). On the other hand, I don't know if learning it is worthy from fastlane perspective. I thought that I could mix it up with digital marketing that I'm also working on and then use it to build a passive income and of course - my main business that I pick. Anyway, I seek for opinions. What do you guys think? Is it worth to learn WordPress or coding?

Your question is too vague.

Most business websites don't need to be fancy - aslong as they are functional and they work, simple is fine.

A lot of businesses will be fine with a one page wordpress website. Or some simple HTML, or using Shopify as the main site.

And some will need a more complex solution.

Ask yourself what your website needs to do, then look for the tools to do it.
