Hey guys,
There is a product in the US which I really want to sell in Germany. The problem is: The product is considered hazardous material.
Heres what the company told me:
"Thank you for your email. We do make the best (product) on the market. And, they can be pretty complicated to import as they are considered hazardous materials. As a starter, we do not ship them by air, only sea freight. You would need to import a fairly large quantity in order to justify the sea freight minimums and shipping cost. My suggestion would be to order a minimum of 5 master cartons. Below is our pricing. If it is feasible for you, we can put together a proposed shipment and work out estimated freight cost. Feel free to email or call if you have any questions."
And heres the proposed shipment:
"I would recommend:
4 master cartons of the (product)
1 master carton of the (product 2)
Total cost of goods would be $5265.60USD and estimated freight cost would be $500-600USD. We use a forwarder called DSV to move out hazardous goods shipments. Freight may vary based on your port of entry.
If you would like to proceed we will need to get your account set up in our system. All initial orders are pay in advance by wire or credit card. Let me know how you would like to proceed."
~6000USD is too much for the first order. But I really want that product...
Do you know if there are any alternatives?
Or do I really have to order such a large amount?
