Okay, so the situation is this:
A franchise motel in the middle of nowhere, like an oil and gas town where there are labor workers from service companies. There is a lot of saturation in the town (place is full of motels/hotels), so everyone is fighting over trying to get service companies to have their workers stay at their own hotel/motel.
What are some critical relationships/things you can do to get leverage? The more low budget/free in cost the better, but I want even ones that will cost money (a lot of good ones will I assume) as well to see my options. The town is very small, less than 10k population.
I was thinking something like this:
1) Making a deal with a local restaurant to offer a discount for lunch or dinner (or both) for the workers if they stay at your motel. Why would they do this? Because with a high frequency increase in steady customers eating, they can afford to give good discounts and still make profit.
2) Somehow making an arrangement for transportation for the service workers to and from the oilfields.
3) Discounts on dry cleaning services (dunno how I would arrange that).
Keep in mind, these obviously have holes. I just want to brainstorm right now as well as make them perfect.
