Hey Guys,
Why this thread:
1. I'd love to connect with fellow online nomadic / expat entrepreneurs
2. I'm looking for a new place to go and have no idea where so want to connect with people to find a place
My story in short:
At age 14 I started with my online business, during my bachelor (in the Netherlands) it slowly grew and I had to opportunity to travel and study abroad. I went to Australia where I lived for 1.5 years and did my Master (+ traveled the country + NZ) there I got 'the bug' and I've been 'homeless' ever since. During my 20ties I've traveled and partied a lot and had an amazing time but never focused to much on growing my business. Since 1.5 year or so (in my late 29th year) I started focusing more on my business and at first I managed to grow it with 150% but atm its slowed down (the growth) but that's because I'm basically starting a whole new business in a new market from scratch next to my existing one so I had/have a lot to learn and I've spread myself to the max (just managed to stop myself in time; currently working on 3 bigger products)
I don't do constant travelling anymore but I go to some country and try to live there for a while (min 3 months) and well sometimes I stay longer sometimes I don't. So far I've lived in Peru, Chile, Argentina and the USA and traveled a whole bunch more.
I'd love to live a few years in the USA (LA or SanFran or Austin) but the USA sucks balls concerning getting a visa for longer period. I then wanted to do 1 year work&travel Canada (special visa) but didn't know they had a cap for that (just 480! people from the Netherlands per year damnit) so I just missed out on that.
So now I'm looking where to go next and I'd love so much to go to a place where I can connect with fellow entrepreneurs that do / did the same thing as me. Moved away with their location independent business. I hoping to somewhere find something of a 'digital entrepreneur' expat community where I can connect with and then also live there for some time (year or more).
So if you are too a digital nomadic entrepreneur let's connect. If anybody knows about such communities I mentioned I'd love to hear about it!
All the best,
Steven
